If you're waiting for your request to join our Facebook Group to be accepted, here is what you should know...

My team and I take seriously protecting group members from spammy and inappropriate accounts. We process and vet each request manually and the quality of our community is wonderful as a result. Yes, we've hit the accept button tens of thousands of times now!

Because of this process, and because we regularly get hundreds of requests to join, we have a set schedule of when we process groups which is most Thursdays. The only exception to this is if we are hosting a live event (such as workshop) in which case we try to process requests once per day. If we have a large quantity of requests, we may only get through a portion but we process in a first come first serve manner and do our best to get to everyone within 1-2 weeks. 

Note that we will not accept any requests from individuals who have not answered all questions prompted when requesting. If you're unsure if you have done this, revisit the group and Facebook will allow you to edit your answers while you wait. This will ensure no extra delays or declines.

This scheduled process of accepting requests to join, allows established members to stay settled and new members to settle in before adding another batch of newcomers. It has served us well and you'll feel the benefit as soon as your request is processed.
